FAQ

Drone photography in Dallas-Fort Worth, answered

Straight answers for agents, owners, GCs, and venue managers booking SkyBird Aerial.

Do you need a licensed drone pilot for real estate photos in Texas?

Yes. Commercial drone photography in the United States requires an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate. SkyBird Aerial is Part 107 licensed and fully insured on every job, including flights in Dallas-Fort Worth airspace.

What areas of Dallas-Fort Worth do you fly?

We fly Collin, Denton, Dallas, and Tarrant counties with no mileage surcharge. That covers Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Prosper, Allen, Celina, Denton, Flower Mound, Dallas, Irving, Fort Worth, Southlake, Grapevine, Arlington, and the cities around them.

How fast do you deliver aerial photos?

Typical turnaround is 48 hours for edited, color-matched, web-ready stills. Print-resolution files are available on request. Same-week flights when weather cooperates.

How much does drone photography cost in Dallas-Fort Worth?

Quotes are flat and based on the property, the set you need, and whether you want twilight or a repeat progress flight. There is no travel fee inside the four-county ring. Send the address and what the photos need to do — we reply with a window and a quote.

Can you fly drones in Dallas Class B airspace?

Yes, when the airspace and weather allow. We check LAANC and FAA constraints during the brief and only schedule a flight when authorization is in place. Restricted or stadium TFRs are declined rather than forced.

Do you offer twilight or night drone photography?

Twilight sets are available on request for listings and venues. Night operations follow Part 107 anti-collision lighting rules. Ask when you book if you need a dusk or after-dark set.

Do you shoot video or only still photography?

SkyBird Aerial specializes in still photography from the air — the frames that sell a lot, a pad, or a day. If a short motion clip is useful for a listing, ask when you request a quote.

Will neighbors notice the drone?

Typical on-site time is under an hour. We fly a planned path, stay over the subject property as much as the job allows, and send a completion note when we are done.
